Are 866 and 877 numbers charged by Ooma?

Some people have heard that there is a charge to dial the newer toll free prefixes of 1-888, 1-877 or 1-866 from the Ooma VoIP device – it’s not true!

These calls are indeed toll free as the name says. In fact, if you are using Ooma internationally to make free calls to the U.S. from overseas, you can even dial U.S.-based toll free numbers (800, 888, 877, 866) from Ooma while most toll free numbers cannot be dialed directly from a regular international phone.
