Quick answer: use a PC. Unlike the Mac version, the Blackberry Desktop Manager software for PC gives you access to the photos on the Blackberry even if you don’t have a media card installed.
We were having this problem recently. We’d snapped some pictures around town on our Blackberry but when we got home and hooked it up to our MacBook Pro using the Desktop Software it wouldn’t let us access the photos. It said, “No media cards found” or something like that.
However, when we plugged it into our PC the Blackberry Desktop Software has an area in the main menu called, “Media”. Click this and you’ll be able to see the photos on the Blackberry’s built in memory and place them anywhere on your PC.
Since we usually want them on our MacBook, we place the photos from the Blackberry in a folder then drag the folder to a flash drive and take it to our Mac. We wish it were easier but this roundabout method gets the job done.
Do you know of a way to access photos stored on the Blackberry’s built in memory with a Mac? Please let us know and we’ll share it with our readers.
