Data usage is billed by the 100kb and the costs deducted from the same available prepaid credit balance from which call charges are taken. Each National Geographic International SIM card comes pre-loaded with $29 in initial credit and more funds are easily added by credit card by making a toll free call from the handset.

Setting Up your Cell Phone for International Data from NatGeo’s Prepaid SIM
Most phones can be set up for data by changing the “APN” to “mobiledata” – here are some menu navigation tips for common phone models:
iPhone
1. Navigate to: ‘Settings > General > Network >
EDGE’.
2. Select ‘Profile 4’.
3. Enter the APN as ‘mobiledata’.
4. Leave the username and password entries
blank
5. Launch your browser.
Motorola Phones
1. Navigate to ‘Menu > Web Access > Web
Sessions.’
2. Select ‘New Entry’.
3. Enter a homepage website, e.g.
‘http://www.cellularabroad.com/’
4. Select the ‘APN’ and enter ‘mobiledata’.
5. Launch your browser
Nokia Phones
1. Navigate to: ‘Menu > Settings > Configuration’.
2. Select ‘Personal Configuration Settings’.
3. Choose ‘New Access Point’.
4. Select ‘Data Bearer’ and choose ‘Packet Data’.
5. Select ‘Packet Data Access Point’.
6. Enter ‘mobiledata’ in the APN field.
7. Launch your browser
Samsung Phones
1. Navigate to ‘Menu > Settings > Browser
Settings> Profile Settings’.
2. Select an unused profile slot.
3. Enter a profile name, e.g. ‘Data’.
4. Enter a valid homepage, e.g.
‘www.cellularabroad.com’.
5. Set the bearer to ‘GPRS’.
6. Enter ‘mobiledata’ in the APN field.
7. In options select ‘Save’.
8. In the Profile settings, select ‘Save’.
9. Launch your browser
Data Usage
Your data usage is still billed against your prepaid credit; if you already have credit in your Talk Abroad account, you will be able to start using the Data Service immediately. If you are out of credit, you can add more instantly by dialing *161# SEND on your Talk Abroad handset.
