Is there a difference between broadband and gsm cell phones?
I’m going to Italy and I was told I need to buy a unlocked broadband cell phone so we I get there I can get a local sim card for it. However, I keep finding unlocked gsm cell phones. Are they the same thing? If anyone has experience with traveling and can give me some help that would be great.

What you need is an unlocked quadband gsm phone. A dual band gsm would be for use in the USA, Quad band would be for international.

I don’t want to buy a cell phone that doesn’t work for me. But i wanna know about the band and frequency thing. What do those mean and do all work for at&t. What else would i need to know in order to make sure that unlocked phone works with at&t?

I here make you understand by providing the Unlocking experiance in my friend life as example.My friend had an Nokia N97 Model Mobile But i was locked to T-mobile He want to put the AT&T Service but without unlocking it is not possible so he used the Unlocking code and unlocked it from the T-Mobile he Follows the free unlocking instructions in the site http://www.mobileunlockguide.com/ ..Ok Sure you can use at&t Unlocked GSM Phone But depend upon the Mobile.I had Experiance in Nokia Only.
