Has anyone ever bought an unlocked phone from ebay?
I am on T Mobile and I really want the new blackberry storm, the touch one. But they are only avaliable on Verizon. They have unlocked ones on ebay for sale that will work on any GSM network. Anyone ever bought one of those unlocked phones and had it work?

I had two friends each buy the same model phone.
One got it and it worked fine. The others didn’t even turn on.

Will I be able to use an unlocked Palm Pre for Tmobile?
I know its not out yet, but i know unlocked versions will be for sale (i know they will be expensive too…!) could I use it for Tmobile, or will i have to have a GSM phone?

Nope sorry… First of all, unlocked Palm Pre’s have not been announced but it will be sold at Best Buy for $849.99 which is extremely expensive. You can then bring it to T-Mobile and they MIGHT activate it for you.
But the chances it will be with T-Mobile is very unlikely. T-Mobile doesn’t usually get many advanced phones and Palm is on a contract with Sprint so they can’t sell the Pre to any other carriers until 2010. When 2010 comes, Palm would want to let a big company sell the Pre (probably Verizon Wireless). So the Pre is probably not coming to T-Mobile any time soon
